Minor Safety Policy

How we protect athletes and families.

Last updated: 2025

1. Founder Vetting

Pro Mentors are reviewed before appearing on the platform. Talk to a Pro evaluates identity, playing experience, and overall fit before allowing a Pro to go live.

2. On-Platform Sessions

Sessions should be conducted using approved platform tools only. Pro Mentors and athletes should not move sessions to personal video links, private apps, or unmonitored channels.

3. Parent/Guardian Involvement

Athletes under 18 require parent or guardian involvement. For athletes under 16, a parent or guardian should be available during sessions to ensure oversight.

4. No Private Off-Platform Contact

Pro Mentors should not contact minor athletes outside the platform. Communication related to sessions should remain within Talk to a Pro.

5. Parent Visibility

Parents or guardians may have visibility into bookings, approvals, and relevant session-related activity for minor athletes.

6. Logged Platform Activity

Where supported, session notes, development tracking, and communication may be stored within the platform to improve accountability and transparency.

7. Zero Tolerance for Misconduct

Talk to a Pro does not tolerate harassment, grooming behavior, sexual content, threats, discrimination, or any conduct that compromises the safety of a minor athlete. This includes attempting to establish private communication outside the platform, requesting unnecessary personal information, or engaging in behavior a reasonable parent would find concerning. Violations result in immediate removal and may be reported to authorities.

8. Reporting a Concern

Parents, athletes, or Pro Mentors should report concerns immediately using the platform's support channels. All reports are taken seriously.

9. Emergency Situations

Talk to a Pro is not an emergency service. If a user is in immediate danger, they should contact local emergency services.

10. Continuous Improvement

Safety policies may evolve over time. Continued use of the platform means users accept updated safety standards.

"If something feels wrong, report it immediately. We would rather investigate a false alarm than miss a real concern."
